Short and Sweet We Promise |
||||
We'll admit this is short and sweet. It's first come first serve for the characters, we don't want doubles of a character running around, though PB's, as long as we don't have 400 of the same face running around it's cool. You will be alerted as soon as we can about getting your application. And as soon as the team of mods look it over you'll be informed of your acceptance. If denied, we'll give you a chance to add in details that we think need a little brushing up on and a shot to try again. If you fail that time I'm sorry you won't be able to app that character to the game, though feel free to try another character. |

Canon: Resident Evil (Movieverse)
Background:
☣First, let me be clear in stating that this Jill Valentine is taken from the Resident Evil films. This includes Resident Evil: Apocalypse, Resident Evil: Afterlife and Resident Evil: Retribution. This means that, through her application, there will be spoilers, in which I apologize for now.
Second, some of this information is headcanon for the simple fact that the films do not focus on Jill (except for Retribution), and as such we do not know a great deal about her character.☣
Jill Valentine had been a rising member in the S.T.A.R.S. (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) organization until a mission in the Arklay Mountains ruined her reputation. During this particular mission, she had gained insight into a classified "bioweapon weakness" which was said to be a "cranial flaw". At first, the Umbrella Corporation had planned to bribe her to keep any and all information she found to herself. If she did not appeal to their demands, she was to be "neutralized". Well, Jill, not at all ready to give into Umbrella's demands, decided she was going to try and go to the higher-ups in attempts to form an investigation against Umbrella. Her superiors had suspended her from duty, concluding that her accusations were caused due to PTSD, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Upon hearing news of Raccoon City being attacked by the undead via her Police Radio, she immediately heads to the station to warn everyone there to evacuate the city, that she herself would be doing the same. Once arriving at the Raven's Gate Bridge, at this point the only way out of the city, she came to find all of it's inhabitants crammed up against the barrier, waiting for the authorization to be released. Agitated, she attempted to help the already present S.T.A.R.S. members in calming the crowd. All was well until an elderly man collapsed and reanimated, contaminating her friend, Peyton, and thus ruining any and all chances of escaping the city via the bridge.
She, Peyton, and a television reporter, Terri Morales, withdrew in attempts to find shelter. Eventually, they arrived at the Raven's Gate Church where they were met by a rather crazed and mortified man, a deranged minister, and three very hungry Lickers. The lickers had successfully killed off the deranged fellow when he wondered off on his own in fear, just after Jill had killed the minister and his zombified wife. Having returned main part of the Chapel, she, Peyton, and Terri were boxed in. Seeing no other way out, Jill and Peyton attempted to kill the lickers with little success of their own. Instead, they were saved by Alice in her spectacular show of quick thinking and very good marksmanship. This introduction left very little room for Jill to be impressed, if only because Alice did what she could not.
Leaving the Church, Alice explained to the group what was happening in Raccoon City while walking through the City's cemetery. It is here that Peyton shows signs of the virus spreading, causing Alice to pull her gun on him, and Jill to pull her gun on Alice. Alice explains what is happening to Peyton, stating that it would be easier to kill him now. Jill refuses, saying that when and when the time comes, she'll "take care of it". Soon after their little confrontation, the dead begin to rise from their graves, attacking the group. Alice and Jill attempt to fight off as many as possible before deeming it useless, choosing instead to retreat to safety.
While wandering around the city, the group receive a phone call from a Dr. Charles Ashford, one of Umbrella's leading geneticists. He explains to them that Raccoon City is to be wiped out via a nuke at sunrise, and that he could provide them with safe passage from the city, at a cost. They would need to first save his daughter, Angela Ashford, who was in hiding in the Raccoon City Junior School. Having no choice, they accepted his deal and began to make their way to the school.
On their way to the school, the group is confronted by the Nemesis, an encounter which results in Peyton getting gunned down. Jill, now upset, pulls out her handgun and begins firing at the Nemesis to no avail. Alice, fully aware about what it was they were facing, orders Jill and Terri to leave while she keeps him distracted. Reluctantly, they flee, and while Alice keeps the beast distracted, Jill attempts to hot wire a truck. Starting the engine, Terri jumps into the truck seconds before the now resurrected Peyton lunges at Jill. Distraught, she shoots him point blank in the forehead before gunning it to the school. Along the way, the duo come across L.J, a criminal Jill released at the police station earlier that day.
Once arriving at the school, Jill informs L.J. of the situation and how they need to find Angela if they want any hope of escaping the City. Splitting up once inside, Jill finds Angela in an empty class room, the same room in which Terri was killed moments before her arrival. Now in a hurry, she leads Angie back towards the cafeteria, in which Angie informs Jill about the undead dobermans. Despite her attempt to sneak away, the dogs spot her, and though she tries her best, Jill cannot defeat them. When things were looking grim, an Ex-Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Force member Nicholai Ginovaef comes to their rescue, quickly explaining to Jill his reason for being there was the same as hers. Ceasing this opportunity, Jill takes Angie and makes way towards the kitchen in hopes of finding a way out. Sadly, it was blocked off earlier, more than likely by the faculty attempting to save themselves. The zombified dogs had returned, Nicholai also being no match for them, immediately going to Jill. Quick thinking kicked in when she realized all the stove tops were gas burners. So, quickly turning them all to the highest setting, she grabbed Angie and made for the door, lighting a match ad throwing it behind herself in hopes of igniting the gasoline. This would have worked, had the flame gone out. Just as she had lost hope, Alice appeared, cigarette in hand. With a smirk, she flicked the cigarette towards the kitchen door, grabbing a near by fireproof blanket to shield Angie from the blast, leaving Jill to duck for cover. Moments after, they regroup with L.J. and Carlos Oliveria, also an Ex-Umbrella soldier.
Once outside, the group use the payphone to contact Dr. Ashford, informing him that his daughter had been safely secured and that they now awaited further instructions. He informs them that were will be a helicopter at City Hall, awaiting take off. They quickly make their way to the designated location where Alice is forced to fight the Nemesis as the others are held captive. During their fight, Jill and the group break free of their restraints and with help from the Nemesis, they flee to the helicopter and take off just as the nuke begins to approach Raccoon City. As the nuke explodes, the helicopter is thrown into a violent tail spin somewhere above the Arklay Mountains. Everyone save Alice survives the crash and fled before Umbrella arrived to the site.
Three weeks pass after the events in Raccoon City before Jill, Carlos, L.J and Angela learn that Alice is still in fact alive. Discovering her location, they head for Umbrella's Detroit Medical Facility and retrieve Alice, getting passed the guards with forged documents. Known to them, Alice had now become "Project Alice", and when Jill asked her what had happened, she did not retrieve a response.
Five years go by, by which time 90% of the planet has turned into a wasteland. No one knows exactly what happened to Jill after retrieving Alice from the Detroit Medical Center, only that she had gone missing. She does return, however, though this time, she has returned under the control of Umbrella. She, along with an assault group, have been ordered to take down Alice and her friends on the Arcadia, a ship filled with human test subjects for Umbrella's ever expanding viral research.
Under the command of the Red Queen, a homicidal artificial intelligence originally created by Umbrella to control the HIVE, Jill is ordered to hunt down Alice and her new accomplice, Ada Wong via an electronic scarab, made to mind control her. She succeeds in capturing Ada, using her as bait to get Alice to stop running and hopefully resist capture. Regrettably, things don't go her way, and she is forced to fight Alice, one on one. This time, Jill is actually ordered to kill Alice, and she certainly tried to do just that. When things seemed dire, Alice finally pulled the mind controlling scarab off of Jill's chest, shooting it to pieces. This brings Jill back to her normal self, and together they get rid off "Evil" Rain, who at the time was fighting Leon S. Kennedy and Luther West.
Moments after the fighting had ended, a helicopter brigade swoops down, rescuing Jill, Alice, Leon, Ada and a little girl, Becky (who is in fact a clone), transporting them to what is left of Washington D.C. Here, they meet up with Albert Wesker, who states that the only way they can defeat Umbrella and the Red Queen is with his help. Sadly, Jill and Alice comply, knowing they're going to need all the help they can get, even if it is from Wesker.
Personality:
Jill Valentine has an unrivalled ability to keep calm under extreme pressure. She is a quick thinker, occasionally saving her life along with others with her last minute plans. She is determined, has a strong sense of justice, and an even stronger sense of loyalty. She will put her friends and partners before herself, often putting herself in a life threatening situation. Her determination stems from her search for the truth. This is evident when she, along with Alice and the others, attempt to expose Umbrella for their wrong-doings.
Jill has a bit of a soft spot for children. This is evident when she finds Angela at her school, immediately being taken by her courage and her ability to keep calm despite the undead walking about in her school. One can tell that she would do just about anything to keep the little girl safe, regardless of it having become her mission in order to escape Raccoon City.
Jill holds a considerable amount of respect towards her friends, especially Alice. When they first meet, Jill couldn't help but feel a little jealous of Alice's skill. She herself even said, "I'm good, but not that good", in regards to Alice killing the three lickers in the Church. But, whenever the time arises, she could depend on Alice and visa versa. Only time this doesn't happen is when Jill is under the control of Umbrella and the Red Queen. While Alice believes the normal Jill was still there, it was over shadowed by the scarab's ability to keep her mind locked on one thing, Capture or Kill Project Alice. This quickly changed once Alice succeeded in ripping the scarab from Jill's chest, returning her to her normal self.
In extreme situations, she can be relied on to keep her cool and figure out a plan. Under normal situations, outside of danger, she's very much your casual, "normal" human being.
Abilities:
☣Hand to Hand Combat: Jill's fighting skill are honed to match some of the best there are. Despite visually looking skinny, she's actually pretty muscular. She compensates her slight stature by being quick and flexible, favoring the use of grapples and kicks over her fists. She's also deadly with a knife, not to mention virtually fearless in a battle.
☣Marksman: Jill's aim is deadly accurate, making her a near perfect shot with a rifle of just about any caliber. Favoring speed, however, she often opts for a handgun (or two) and the occasional machine gun.
☣Master of Lock Picking: Give her something she can pick a lock with and there's no doubt she'll succeed in breaking in.
☣Miscellaneous: She is a rather skilled piano player and swimmer.
Weaknesses:
☣Human: Yes. Being human can be considered a weakness. After all, it only makes you that much easier to kill, what with your lack of any form of regeneration or anything like that.
☣Friends: Once she's made a friend, she'll fight to the end to make sure they're safe. Put her friend in danger? Chances are, she'll come running with little to no hesitation.
☣Being Infected: When you come from her world, this is always a possibility. Last thing she wants is to become what she hunts.
Sample: Here's a Dear_Mun thread. Hope this works well enough.
